Walking
 
Step 1
Lift your walking frame and place it in front of you.
Be sure that all 4 legs of the walking frame are on the floor.
Step 2
Lean on the walking frame and let it support you.
Step forward with your operated leg.
   
 
Step 3
Hold on to your walking frame with both hands.
Step forward with your unoperated leg
 
 
 
Sitting
 
Step 1
Sit on firm chairs with high seats, straight back and armrests.
Step backward till you feel the back of your legs touching the chair.
Step 2
Release your hands from the walking frame.
Reach back and hold on to the armrests.
Lower yourself slowly onto the seat.
Keep your operated leg in front of you.
   
 
Step 3
Sit on the edge of the seat first.
Use the armrests for support as you slide back in the chair.
