Warning Signs In Chronic Liver Disease
 
Are there any warning signs in Chronic Liver Disease that you can look out for?
 
Patients should be aware of signs that will alert them to seek medical attention immediately. It is advisable to see your doctor if you experience any, or more than one, of the following symptoms:
 
Vomiting blood, or blackish material that looks like coffee grounds.
Passing black stools, or fresh bleeding in the bowel movement.
Pain in the abdomen (which may spread to the right shoulder).
Fever which does not go away after one or two days.
New onset of swollen abdomen, legs or ankles.
New onset of skin and/or eyes that are yellow.
Confusion and/or slurring of speech - this can lead to unconsciousness.
