What are the usual functions of the liver?
 
The liver is responsible for many vital processes in the body. Some of its many functions include: -
 
Converting the food we eat into stored energy.
Controlling the levels of cholesterol, fat, glucose and amino acids in the body.
Fighting infection.
Breaking down drugs and toxins.
Producing bile that is used for digesting fat.
Storing vitamins, iron and other important chemicals.
Helping in blood-clotting and repairing tissue.
