Lunchtime Talk: Back pain and stiffness arising from inflammation

Not all back pain is mechanical in nature. A group of patients may have features of back pain due to inflammation, of which some may have the disease called ankylosing spondylitis. This affects younger Singaporeans and affects one’s daily function and work productivity.

In this talk, we will learn more about this disorder as it is often poorly understood, diagnosed late with delay in effective treatment.
