 NUH Medical Centre Team
Planning Process
Hospital staff form the steering committee, working committees, design teams etc. and work together with Consultant Incorporated Architects + Planner (CIAP), Kahler Slater Incorporation, Davis Langdon & Seah Project Management Pte Ltd (DLSPM) and Parsons Brinckerhoff (PB) to develop the conceptual designs of the NUH Medical Centre.
Patient centered approach (with design of work processes done from users’ perspective) is the key driving force behind the building's design. Patient care experience influences decisions on all levels, from overall space layout to flooring finishing. Patient Focus Groups are also conducted to hear first-hand from the patients of their preference.
The design of the NUH Medical Centre will incorporate crucial qualitative aspects of the patient care experience with functional needs.
The following describes the team behind this and their motto:
- A strong Hospital Planning team who works closely with the design consultants…
- A set of global planning guidelines and parameters at the onset…
- A tight process for request and change management…
- A regular update to surface issues before it is too late…
- A tight process of communications with design consultants to help steer…
