Green Building

Roof gardens reduce overall heat absorption of the building which helps to reduce energy consumption

The NUH Medical Centre is set to be a patient-centric healing environment that is firmly grounded on green and energy-efficient design.

The hospital is working towards achieving the Green Mark for Building Award (Platinum) for the new medical centre. Presented by the Building and Construction Authority, Green Mark is presented to buildings that meet several assessement criteria including energy and water efficiency, environmental protection, indoor environment quality, as well as the extent of green features.

In order to achieve this award, the NUH Medical Centre will have to meet the assessment criteria of Energy Efficiency; Water Efficiency; Environmental Protection; Indoor Environmental Quality; Other Green Features and Innovation.

Some of the environmentally friendly features that will be incorporated into NUH Medical Centre:

  • Energy & Water Efficiency
