Theory and Practical training in Andrology

The outline of the programme includes :

1. Aseptic Techniques
2. Instructions to patients on semen collection.
3. Semen Analysis
   Sperm count, Motility, Viability, Morphology. Reporting of results
4. Sperm washing for IUI
   The various methods to get optimum sperm numbers for IUI insemination depending on the original sperm count.
   • Direct layering
   • Swim up technique
   • Density gradient
5. Cryopreservation using straws and cryovials
   • Sperm freezing for IUI
   • Sperm freezing for IVF
   • Testicular biops
6. Results reporting and recording
7. Lab Maintenance
8. Final Assessment by Chief Embryologist

Course Duration: 2 weeks (excluding Sundays)
Course Fee: $5000/-
Venue of training: Andrology lab NUH

Applicants for the course will be selected based on their experience and qualification. Applicants should have a Bachelor’s Degree in Reproductive Biology, Biological Sciences, Microbiology etc.

All trainees will receive a certificate upon completion of the course.
