
Safety in ward
For the safety of your child, please:
- Do not keep a hot water flask by your child’s bedside as it may cause accidental scalding. A hot water dispenser is available at your convenience. However, young children are advised not to use the dispenser.
- Do not leave your child unattended while at the playroom/ playground. Please supervise your child at all times.
- Do not place hammocks in the ward.
- Do not leave cot rails and bed rails down when you are not with your child.
- Do not use personal electrical appliances and sharp objects in the ward. Electrical appliances may affect medical equipment.
- Do not charge handphones in the ward.
- Do not use handphones in the Paediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) as they interfere with medical equipment. Public telephones are available outside the ward.
- Do inform the ward nurse when you are leaving the ward.
- Do not leave your child alone in the playroom as our staff are unable to supervise these areas.
