Things for your child to do
Playroom
Kids love to play! Understanding this need and in effort to make your child’s stay more pleasurable,
we have a playroom in each ward. The theme of
each ward is different and you can make use of the toys, games for each child. We also have a television in this room tuned to television programs and radio station. While your child is in the playroom, he/she would need your supervision. Kindly return all toys in the designated place so that other children may enjoy them too. We would also appreciate that you help us keep the room clean.
Fantasy Forest Playground
An outdoor playground area is available for use by you and your child. It is located outside Ward 45 and Ward 47. Your doctor and nurse would let you know
if you child is fit to go to the playground. While your child is at the playground, you or another adult must watch over your child at all times.
Library Cart for Kids
Our volunteers bring a library cart around the wards during the week with books, magazines and toys for all ages which may be borrowed. They can be returned to the cart or placed in a drop box located in the ward.
Volunteers Service
Our hospital volunteers visit the unit and clinics on the weekdays to provide companionship and entertainment for patients and families. They are a support service, taking on many roles within the hospital – from reading stories to leading activities.
Ronald McDonald Show
Every 3rd week of the month, Ronald McDonald visits our patients in the ward and entertain the children with humors and magic.
