Nursing

Paediatric nursing is a unique, specialized practice of professional nursing, which focuses on the care of children and their families. Led by Senior Nursing Manager, Ms Tay Kim Ngah, our paediatric nurses work alongside other healthcare teams in hospital to care for our patients, and in the community to advocate and promote children’s health and well being.

The paediatric nurses care for children throughout childhood from a newborn baby to teenagers who are challenged with an illness, disability or death.

We honour and include the unique needs of the individual child along with the child’s family and community in helping children attain their optimal health.

Our Mission
Children are special and that is why they need special care. We provide respectful and compassionate care for our young patients and their families. Their interest is paramount to our mission. All our staff strives to give children the encouragement and comfort they need. The child and his/her family will receive personalized care in an environment where patients and professionals alike are nurtured, encouraged and empowered.
