Children’s Emergency (24 hours)

NUH Children's EmergencyOur Children's Emergency ensures that children will be seen in a clinical setting that focuses on their special needs. It is located next to the adult Emergency Department and has been specially designed with child-friendly amenities complemented with bold wall colours and flooring.

Children’s Specialist Clinic (Clinic A)

All of the general clinic and most of the specialist clinics are held here. The clinic has play facilities for the children, and breastfeeding rooms and diaper changing areas for the convenience of parents. A treatment area for minor procedures such as vaccination, removal of stitches and dressing is also housed within here.

Wards
All our wards are designed with our young patients’ comfort and needs in mind. Apart from the child-friendly amenities, every ward has cheerful and colourful wall murals (with animal/cartoon characters), to help ease and soothe our young patients' discomfort.

We have different wards to cater for the different needs and budget of our patients.

Ward 45

  • Provides specialised care for children who had undergone transplant surgery, or suffering from kidney disease, liver disease or glandular problems.
  •  For both subsidised and non-subsidised patients.
  •  8 beds and 2 isolation rooms
  •  Jointly funded by National Kidney Foundation and Shaw Foundation

  • Provides Multidisciplinary care
  • For non-subsidised patients
  • 6 single rooms
  • Fully air-conditioned
  • Individual television and telephone
  • Individual toilet and bathroom facilities (single rooms)
  • Sofa bed for parent staying overnight (single rooms)

  • Provides Multidisciplinary care
  •  For subsidised patients
  •  34 beds (24 B2-class beds, 2 isolation rooms and 8 C-class beds)
  •  Houses sleep study room for assessing sleeping disorders and Video-EEG monitoring for patients with seizure disorders
  •  Dayroom
  •  Deckchair provided for parent staying overnight

Ward 47A

  • 8 B1-Class Beds (4-bedder)
    One toilet with bathroom facilities per four-bedded room

Ward 88 (part of Viva-University Children's Cancer Centre)
Kent Ridge Wing, Level 8

  • Provides specialised Paediatric Oncology care
  • For non-subsidised & subsidised patients
  • 5 Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT) Rooms, 3 single rooms, 9 HD Beds
  • Fully air-conditioned
  • Individual television and telephone
  • Individual toilet and bathroom facilities (BMT & single rooms), One toilet with bathroom facilities per four-bedded room
  • Sofa bed for parent staying overnight
